The curriculum at Summit Salon Academy Kansas City is driven by Summit Salon Business Center, an organization focused on helping salon and spa professionals thrive. By utilizing Summit Salon Business Center (SSBC), the world’s largest salon seminar, training, and consulting company, our students can gain a foundational knowledge of how to earn a beautiful living. As a Summit Salon Academy school, our students get access to the unique Summit SalonTM performance system, where students get extra training in providing an exceptional guest experience. We want our students to not only learn about providing hair, skin, and nail services to their clients, but also learn how to build their book of business.
Develop your skills in hair cutting, styling, coloring, lash and brow techniques, nail services, and more in our comprehensive cosmetology program, available to full-time and part-time students.
Learn the art and science of skincare and full body care in our esthetics program. Qualifying students may take the international CIDESCO exam to earn a worldwide-recognized diploma available to full-time students.

Summit Salon Academy Kansas City is accredited by the NACCAS. We are also a member of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS). Students in the cosmetology program use L’Oreal Professionnel products, and students in the esthetics program use Dermalogica products, which are two top brands used in professional salons and spas throughout the country. We are also proud to offer esthetics students the opportunity to take an international CIDESCO prep course and sit for the prestigious CIDESCO exam.
Our Kansas City beauty school is proud to be in the beauty business, and even more proud to teach the business of beauty to our students.
